The Latest Trend Today: Short Hair!

The new trend today is short hairstyles. Bob's, pixies and all those tom-girl looks are coming back in fashion.

Wavy and curled (loose or tight) hairstyles are coming out of style because consumers are seeing the risk behind chemical treatments and don't want to wind up getting big curls with permanently damaged hair.

More importantly, no one wants to end up bald! This new path towards natural hair styles is aimed at getting and keeping healthy looking, and natural hair.

Although perming formulas have been greatly improved to gentler formulas, the risks are still there to be considered.

Wigs and extensions have become a great way to get the curls and waves you want without damaging your hair.

There is also a very wide selection of natural hair products that contain little to no chemicals to better treat hair. Consumers are making an informed decision by switching to natural ingredients and opting for other natural solutions.

Indeed, the Perm wave from the 80's left many to be devastated. All the stars had 'em and, of course, everyone wanted to be like a star.

But reality was far from Hollywood and people learned the hard way. Today, stylists claim to be able to more accurately mimic star hair dos. Back then, it was all about the frizz, and today, it's all about short and natural looks.

Although celebrities like Jessica Simpson and Beyonce still carry the long & wavy style, many of the use professional blow-outs or set curls from heated hair appliances, not perms.

Short hair styles need to be cut more often. You will most likely have to increase your number of visits to the hair salon if you want to keep your hairstyle in shape.
